Additional Help for Low Income Seniors
The Federal government recognizes that some people may need extra help paying for their prescription medicines. You can see if you are able to receive assistance by calling the following numbers:
- 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227)
(TTY/TDD users call 1-877-486-2048)
24 hours a day/7 days a week, - Social Security Administration
at 1-800-772-1213
(TTY/TDD users call, 1-800-325-0778)
between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, or - Your state Medicaid Office
Your Medicare Prescription Drug Plan costs, the amount of your premium and your drug costs at the pharmacy will be less if you qualify for extra assistance. Once you have enrolled in Community CCRxSM, Medicare will tell us how much assistance you are receiving, and we will send you information on the amount that you will pay.
Remember: If you qualify for extra assistance, you still need to enroll in a Medicare Part D plan, like Community CCRx, to receive your prescription drug coverage.
